* Transformation *

This past decade was the most transformative of my life. Moving to Laguna Beach in 2012 and starting my art career was like stepping into a dream. I am so moved to reflect on my journey. It has been the most amazing adventure.

Selling my art for the first time. Stretching myself, exploring new methods, mediums, sizes, substrates and subjects. Wandering into the Sawdust Winter Fantasy 7 years ago, I was frightened to put my work up and I didn’t even know what to say to people. I am still so very grateful for all of my first collectors that year, I had never sold my art before.

Then came my first gallery, then group shows, Summers at the Sawdust began and I was asked to teach art. I had no idea how I was going to do it all with my son in tow but we figured it out. It’s has taken a lot of tenacity and optimism. Each year got better and better creating my best life for myself and my son.

To be able to say that I am able to support us by doing what I love and to have the freedom to spend as much time as I need with him is one of my most cherished things in life. I have ART and Art lovers to thank!
